Event Team

Today was our weekly Event Team Meeting. It was a good one and we worked on a lot of the final details and checklists. I thought this would be a good opportunity to introduce the team to you.

First we have Rachel Loy, who is the Development Director for ROCK. We work a lot in the same manner, so we make a great team.

Then, we are blessed to have Bruce and Julie Morris of Morris Images. They will be providing photography throughout the evening. But much more than that, they have volunteered quite a bit of time to coming to all the meetings and brainstorming and helping with the Marketing and Promotional Campaigns. They have also acted as Creative Directors for the photo elements for the ending video which highlights some great community organizations and people.

Then we have a few people who have been supportive behind the scenes and will offer resources for things needed next week. Northside Christian Church has been amazing with their coordination of the facilities and technical staff. Mark Maxwell from Mom's Music and the Northside Worship Team has put a great team together to make my vision of the music come together. Mike from Audiacom is wonderful and will be doing all taped video productions. Nicholson Printing and T & L Printing have done a great job with printed materials and sign needs.

It takes a lot of people to pull off such a huge event and I am truly blessed to be surrounded by such a great team.

Community!

I absolutely love our community. Today was such a beautiful day and I spent it in preparation for the event. I turned in some copy to Audiacom so that they can begin to produce some of the video elements for the event. Mike Becht at Audiacom is so wonderful to work with! I had a meeting with several other Chic-fil-A marketing directors, who are also good friends. Then I was off to run around town and deliver cute little Chick-fi-A packs that had a personal invitation from myself and good friend Julie Morris to area businesses to attend Desire to Inspire. I love the grassroots effort and meeting new people or catching up with people I haven't seen in a while.

9 more days!

Catching Up!

10 Days prior to this very special event and I am just now creating a blog.

So here I go to catch you up:

The Chick-fil-A Desire to Inspire Dinner Series was created last year as an effort to live out the Chick-fil-A Corporate Purpose, which is " To glorify God by being a faithful steward to all that has been entrusted to us, and to have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A". Bryan and I have been married 22 years and have lived in this community this whole time. We have 4 daughters who have grown up here and we truly love our community. I decided it was time to do something big and to do more than our everyday "Chicken Selling". So about a year ago the vision of a Dinner Series came together. In November we were blessed to be able to host our inaugural Dinner Series featuring Coach Tony Dungy! It was a huge success and it was truly inspiring as Coach Dungy spoke about being Uncommon. We also highlighted a few stories from our community and it was a special evening for sure.

After being on such a high, it was hard to gather our thoughts on who should be the next speaker. We knew we would continue the series, but who would be that next great inspiration.

We believe we have indeed hit the mark with our next Dinner. It will feature Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy, who are the parents who inspired the movie The Blind Side. This event will focus on Sean and Leigh Anne sharing their personal Blind Side story and how they believe we should all be looking to "not let untapped potential fall through the cracks in our community". We once again will bring the focus to also highlight some great stories from our own community.
